I guess the symbolism in my book would be the evil ring that was made from Sauron. This ring would probably symbolize how fragile the concept of good and evil might be. Since this ring was generally evil, the good guys would have to destroy it so that the greater evil would not possess it, making them stronger. Rings are generally fragile, however the only way to destroy this ring was in the location of where it, generally was forged. So i guess the ring would also symbolize the quote "The only way to defeat a problem is to attack the source".

Lord of the Rings was a really great book and i got into it the first moment i started to read it. Especially since i saw the movie to this a while back. ><" Insane action, fantasy plot, fantasy characters, good versus evil, .. basically a lot i would look for in a book. I'm kind of bummed that i finished this book... well, i guess its time to go to a new one.

The next book im gonna start to read is called Farenheit 451. Ive heard that his book was pretty good and i guess i know the overall plot to it but i never really got to know this book that well. Plus, i remember a great friend of mine reccommended it to me and so, as a tribute to her, i guess ill start to read it now.... to make up for lost times XD. Also, anything with fire is pretty neep...though not really fond of Ray Bradbury... he's ok and all...but ill see how it goes XDD.

I like this vid because it correctly displays some of the action that is featured in Lord of the Rings : Fellowship of the Ring. Frodo and a few hobbits venture out to defeat the ultamite evil that lurks during this time. The evil is portrayed by the men in black cornering the good people *Foo Fighters*. Also, in this book it seems like that all hope is lost but miraculously the good guys find a way to get out of the trouble. This is a reason why i chose this vid =D
Main reason i chose this vid, Favorite song =D ~~~

I got up to the part in the book in where Gandalf meets Frodo again on his fiftieth year. Gandalf is again explaining the things about the ring, who's searching for it, and how it can be destroyed. He explains that the ring can only be destroyed in Mount Doom which is in Mordor. This is crucial because if he doesnt, then Sauron, the Dark Lord of Mordor will have reasonably ultamite dark power.

Next, Frodo sells Bags Ends to the Sackville-Bagginses and purchases a home east of Shire called Buckland. With two other hobbits Pippin (Peregrin Took) and Sam Gamgee, they notice that there are a group of people called the Black Riders that follow them. Frodo begins to worry because, Gandalf still hasn't returned and Frodo doesnt know much about what to do at this point. So being careful, without being seen by the Black Riders, Frodo and the gang go to Gildor, the leader amoung a group of High Elves. Gildor tells them to go to Rivendell despite Gandalf's absence. This is crucial because Frodo now learns that the Black Riders are the servants to the Enemy, Sauron.

I think its great how Frodo knew what to do, even when Gandalf wasn't there with them. I guess this would be a great example of courage on his part since he had to take in consideration on the welfare of the other hobbits that he was with.

Right now in the book im up to the part in where the ring that sealed Sauron is found by Bilbo Baggins, a 111 year old hobbit that normally lives in seclusion w/ his adopted son Frodo Baggins. At this part of the book i feel that the ring, even though not many people know about it, is in great jeapordy because its in the simple hands of a hobbit. After his 111 birthday, Biblo had entrusted Frodo Baggins with the ring. In my mind i felt that it was in greater jeapordy now because it was in the hands of a "youngster". Then Gandalf comes in and learns that the ring that Frodo possesses is the One Ring that sealed Sauron and sends Frodo w/ sam to Bree. Gandalf goes to meet a man named Saruman. Saruman reveals that there are a group of people named Ringwraiths that left Mordor in order to recapture the ring. They also vowed to kill anyone in their path.

As much as i like the book so far, i feel that the movie was a much better because it gave me a visual of what's going on. Even though the book makes me imagine things a lot more, the movie was more dramatic and i got the full sense of what was going on ^_^.
