Right now in the book im up to the part in where the ring that sealed Sauron is found by Bilbo Baggins, a 111 year old hobbit that normally lives in seclusion w/ his adopted son Frodo Baggins. At this part of the book i feel that the ring, even though not many people know about it, is in great jeapordy because its in the simple hands of a hobbit. After his 111 birthday, Biblo had entrusted Frodo Baggins with the ring. In my mind i felt that it was in greater jeapordy now because it was in the hands of a "youngster". Then Gandalf comes in and learns that the ring that Frodo possesses is the One Ring that sealed Sauron and sends Frodo w/ sam to Bree. Gandalf goes to meet a man named Saruman. Saruman reveals that there are a group of people named Ringwraiths that left Mordor in order to recapture the ring. They also vowed to kill anyone in their path.
As much as i like the book so far, i feel that the movie was a much better because it gave me a visual of what's going on. Even though the book makes me imagine things a lot more, the movie was more dramatic and i got the full sense of what was going on ^_^.

Hey, I agree with you. I started reading the Lord of The Rings, and there was so much detail to it, that I could not absorb it all. That is why I think the movie might have been better. I also agree with you, that in the movie we get a better dramatic aspect of what is going on.
lol, i never read the book or watched the movie XP. But by your entry, I'll probably never read the book. If there is a movie version, then I'll most likely watch it first. I agree with guy (aka previous post), i never like books with too much details.
I see what you mean when u stated that the movie was better as sometimes Giants of book like the Lord of The Rings may get a little confusing. All i can say is that i like this entry and espically how you feel about the ring's safety
I heard somewhere that the Lord of the Ring movies are just a fraction of what goes on in the books. I think I would read the book first, then watch the movie to clear it up. I never read the books, but I think I'll read them b/c they are popular and high rated. Your blog is very creative. Did you make up the name Maikuru Onegasho? Wow. Dynamite job!
